Aries

You start the New Year with a quest. This is the year you will get recognition! And the first opportunity comes around the 9th February when you should accept an adjustment, for it pays off in time. Use the first 3 months of the year for review and then gear up for strong moves in the second phase of the year which comes after the 11th March. If the third phase after the 7th June FEELS a little worrying…don’t worry! For I promise you, you have never been more effective.

During the last couple of days of July and the beginning of August you may be able to manifest something despite a vigorous opposition, or maybe even BECAUSE of the opposition. Because “when the going gets tough the tough get going” and Aries likes nothing better than a challenge. Something you achieve at this time has long standing results. Reach for the future around the last week in October, but be prepared to accept a compromise a month later. It’s better done this way because the overall effect is a net gain. Sound mysterious? It’ll make more sense when we get there.

Be powerful this year Aries, it’s a great year for it!

Taurus

As a sign that represents stability, stable and the nailed down, you haven’t really appreciated the general turmoil of 2009 and your main thought as you read this is about financial security and less instability. Well, in the main I think this year will be easier to ride and not only because you are now used to coping with a degree of uncertainty.

There is even cause for celebration because a symbol of regeneration is being kind and offering you a chance to build productively and solidly – always a word you like to hear! During the first week in February to get a chance to heal an old wound or re-visit an old dream. Then relationship issues are high on the agenda from late February until late April and this is a good time to find one if you’re in the market.

There is a challenge around mid May, but you seem to talk your way out of it and perhaps a bumpy ride around the 7th August. Apart from that you can be rest assured that this is a good year for you Taurus, so out with furry blanket and get on with that half finished box of chocolates, all will be peaceful in your world!

Gemini

The events of late April convince you that you were right to start the ball rolling last year and you’re glad that things happened the way they did, for now you can quickly dismiss the unreasonable demands being made of you around the 24th.

Things move slowly from April to 10th June when some sharp criticism provides as wonderful opportunity to jump to your feet and make use of a brilliant new idea. This eureka moment starts off a busy period that is only halted by the sensitive or family issues at the end of June. These issues sail into calmer water in July and if you ignore the confusion around the 25th, by the summer holidays you can relax and tread water reflectively. Then expect family or other matters to demand your attention and break your routine around the 2nd October.

As you can see Gemini, this is an odd year that seems to bob up and down like a cork. But these swift changes from one energy to another offer the opportunity to tie up loose ends and tidy up now that one cycle is coming to a close. This is just the sort of thing you love, since staying in one place is not for you. Get ready to crack open the seal on new opportunities, then you can make the most of a potentially productive year.

Cancer

As the New Year dawns, it is apparent that relations with a Significant Other are due some attention and you focus all on their needs. It has been clear for some time that adjustments are required and now these can be addressed.

You may sometimes feel as if you are single-handedly taking on all the responsibilities of the family this year, but who better to cope? For your sensitive, feeling nature is well able to absorb, love and nurture the family through life’s little ups and downs and the whole family is anchored by your loving security.

The first week in June and late July will offer ample opportunity to change things that need changing. Maybe there is change in the family as children leave home, go to University, or maybe parents downsize. Or maybe this year, the challenge is to meet that special someone.

Should you be looking for relationship, make the best of the time around the 11th July. Whatever the opportunities, try to see them as a glorious breaking free and moving on to potential expansion beyond your wildest dreams, for this is indeed what they are.

Leo

You start 2010 with a lot more fire in your veins than you normally have at this time of the year and not without good reason. For although you have to re-think some stuff or go over old ground, you realise that you have been letting circumstances get you down or weaken you in recent years. It’s as if it has gone on for so long you’d forgotten how to feel like a powerful, roaring lion. But your pride, strength and self assurance are returning and they are about to surprise you!

For now your roar is louder and your strength is greater than you remember. For all those years of challenge have honed you into a true champion. They were preparing you for a starring role and this is the year you discover greatness and potency. For now life offers inspiration and wisdom to recognise your true greatness…..and as soon as you do….. the others will too. Try to accomplish most of the change in the first six months, for this is when you are imbued with the greatest of power.

Be a wise and gentle leader this year Leo, your time has come.

Virgo

Since last year rocked the boat a little, I can understand if most Virgos really don’t want to hear if there is going to be more. But the news is good Virgo, for whilst you were trying to cope with all that pressure something magical was happening inside. You were growing a particular wisdom that makes it all worth while.

The challenges helped you discover your personal warrior and protector. They made you stronger and now you can feel it. Serenity, wisdom and nobility appeared at your side. So when in late April the issues with the Significant Other return, you are more than equipped to cope and things are finally sorted out to your benefit.

If you’re looking for romance, then June and July offer a great deal of action and stimulation, so much so that you may want to take a breather in August and plan some time to yourself. Romance could then set your heart alight again in October. So Virgo…….now are you looking forward to the Year ahead? I hope so!

Libra

As 2010 begins you are very aware of all the things that you would like to put straight. So many things are out of kilter or not perfect. It’s difficult not to feel as if you are the only one who seems to be able to do things properly and responsibly. Trying to communicate this causes a few issues so perhaps you’ll decide to leave well alone and turn to something more obedient, such as the gardening.

There is pressure to change things at home or maybe to change your home full stop, and if so then this may certainly come about this year. The best month for your decorating plans is April, when you seem to have all the right ideas of fabric and colour. This is also a useful way to amuse yourself whilst the rest of the world has all sorts of dramas, which you can neatly sidestep whilst matching colour swatches and bespoke paint to the carpet.

You may feel under pressure to take on the issues of others in June and early August, but perhaps by then, the garden will need attention again?

Scorpio

I’ll let you into a secret Scorpio. I know all about it. And I think it’s ok to talk about it now, since everyone else is just about to find out too. Something that was deeply buried is emerging to be dealt with. As January progresses you feel as if you are pushing against something unyielding, archaic and rigid, but still you push, determined to get it all out into the open.

Something has to be changed, irrevocably and completely. It was not what it should be, or it’s passed its sell-by date, or it’s simply not what the future should be built on, so you need to raze it to the ground and start again. By the end of January you have a major breakthrough with another peak time in early August.

During the year, there will be times when certain things will have to be deconstructed before re-construction can take place. This type of rebirth is the sort of thing that Scorpio relishes on a deep fundamental level, because you understand that for life to be secure and supportive it has to built on solid ground and not on illusion. Therefore Scorpio, I think you can look forward to this year with relish.

Sagittarius

Normally Sagittarians don’t read horoscopes. I only write them for their mothers and girlfriends, who read them in an effort to try and understand how it is that their Saggi can get away with so much. However, in the last few months poor Saggi has felt more emotional than usual and the ensuing bewilderment has led to some spiritual curiosity. However, they would still only read horoscopes to argue the toss with the astrologer, since they can’t bear being told how something might influence them.

So here is some astrological advice that the mothers and girlfriends of Sagittarians might like to read. In early February your Saggi should take the path that offers the most change. In mid May something will seek to confine them, and they will break free of this in a blaze of glory in early June. (I suggest to the mothers and girlfriends that they don’t get in the way during this time.)

Since late July and early August is a time of accelerated and rapid movement, you might want to consider a GPS tag to find your Saggi on whichever planet they got to. (Without the use of a space rocket.) And good luck in that endeavour!

Capricorn

Last year set in motion a process that will ultimately take you into a whole new decade of your life. It wasn’t without its challenges but they only served to make you more determined to remove old unwanted structures ready to build another, far more successful and secure life for yourself. And that is why you are going to love this year!

You are going to have the most powerful planet in the sky help you build securely and satisfyingly. The opportunities start in mid January, when you use your newfound strength to dig your heels in over a matter of justice and integrity. And even though you may then have to retrace some steps, with the last week in April proving to be challenging, ultimately the process is a useful and productive one.

Times of peak potential come at the end of January and the middle of August, when the positive transformation is almost magical it is SO good.

Aquarius

Wow, what a year you’ve had. You could almost hear yourself growing in wisdom and determination. And let’s face it, although it was tough, you loved it….. you could just sense how much stronger you were becoming. So will it be the same this year?

Pretty much actually, but with one crucial difference. In the middle of January they remove the safety net…… just to see if you can REALLY go it alone. It’s not gone for long, and thankfully you get it back in April; just in time for a challenge involving finances and security.

With the safety net in place you take on the daring challenge with a counter move that leaves all onlookers breathless, and from May onwards your strength just grows and grows. Sound like fun? Good. Because in late July the challenge returns again…… with some mates! By now, you are an old hand at such opposition and you have the confidence to secure a deal that will hold you in good stead for the rest of the year. Well done, Aquarius!

Pisces

You start this year a little bewildered by the last. What happened there? It was all a bit confusing, but hey ho, a new year now! Surely this one will bring the peace and love that you seek? Well, it does, and the magic starts right here Pisces!

All the experiences of the past year have done something very special. They have brought you a wisdom that will transcend all else. A doorway now opens into an awakening, and a brilliant white light beckons. You could not over-estimate the magical treasure that that you now possess deep within.  Call on it, feel the difference, feel your new beginning.

Late April offers a wonderful opportunity for adjustments and further enlightenment, whilst early June will give a shot of adrenalin to work and finances. From September a guardian angel or wise healer offers support and comfort as you continue to mature and grow into your newfound awareness. A beautiful year Pisces!
