In Loving Memory of Gill Barnes

Posted on 22nd March, 2010

This weekend we heard the shocking news that my dear friend Gill Barnes died on Friday 19th March as the Sun moved into the last degree of Pisces. How typical of her fastidious nature to leave with the dying season.

My heart goes out to the family she leaves behind, for they will be devastated at the loss of a Grandmother, Mum and wife who was their rock. It may give them some small comfort to know just how well known and how loved Gill was in the spiritual community of Tamworth, for everyone I talk to is stunned by this untimely news.

She was truly respected and loved as a person, but also for her tireless and commited devotion to finding The Truth. And one has to smile when one realises that she will surely have found it now.

Gill supported me from the beginning of my time here in Tamworth. She not only funded me by attending everything I ever put on, she also used to gee me up when `Starry Messegers` was getting me down and a completed book seemed almost impossible to achieve.  She was always so concerned and caring.  She would write little notes of encouragement and thank you and always brought me a little present from her travels. These things I will miss terribly.

Wherever you are Gill, I never told you the affection I had for you, but I would like to tell you now. I will never forget you.  Thank you for your love, thank you for your commitment to spiritual awareness and thank you for being my friend.

With great sadness, Alison.X
