This conjunction remains close in 2009 and 2010, (it is particularly close for the next month or so), but only goes exact once, in Feb 2010. However, the Sun is opposing it today, which illuminates their combined meaning and reveals it in the Collective media.
The last time this pair met in conjunction was on the 4th September 1945 as Japan signed its act of unconditional surrender and brought to an end 6 years of World War. Hundreds of thousands had died and terrible atrocities had occurred in a Dark Night of the human race. As it ended, General Douglas MacArthur was inspired to speak these words to the shattered Collective: -
“It is my earnest hope and, indeed, the hope of all mankind, that from this solemn occasion a better world shall emerge out of the blood and carnage of the past; a world founded upon faith and understanding, a world dedicated to the dignity of man and the fulfilment of his most cherished wish, for freedom, tolerance and justice.”
This time around we have been spared a World War, but in the Middle East we still we have aggressive war, death and failure to find a peaceful solution on our hands…………. but maybe the Neptune Chiron magic is now going to make a difference after all.
For last night it was announced that Israeli and Palestinian leaders have accepted an invitation to attend peace talks with the US and they plan to resolve the Middle East crisis within a year. Gosh, how amazing is that? And this time it is Hillary Clinton who is asking for a “just and lasting peace”.
Also yesterday it was the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and Winston Churchill`s famous speech including the words “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.”
It seems that Neptune and Chiron can bring a truly inspirational energy to bear after terrible wounded-ness.
Whilst our situation may not be as bad as that in 1940 and 1945, we are still reminded that we have not achieved MacArthur’s dream. But perhaps we may see more possibility of it in the Middle East. For let us remember, the promise of the conjunction aspect is re-birth, a new beginning ............and maybe this time we will turn wounded suffering into wisdom, compassion and enlightenment for the brotherhood of mankind.
